Military Madness!!!

I thought I'd share Yahoo's article on the season's hottest trend. Before you partake in the military madness, I know you want to hear my opinion. First off, I want to make a public apology to my Mommie dearest. You're right, skinny cargos are the trend, but I still am not a fan.... Unless the person wearing them looks like Twiggy, I don't think they're flattering. Combat boots- Hate them! Unless they have a heel and are made to look more feminine, my goal in life is never to look like an evicted military man. Again, these are my opinions. Take them however you'd like. And enjoy the article and video segment!

Get ready for battle: How to suit up in the season’s hottest trend
by Sarah Bernard, Host of The Thread

We asked two of the most influential stylists to the stars, Rachel Zoe and Phillip Bloch, for the hottest trend of the season and they had one definitive answer: Military. Army green dresses, skinny cargos and military coats abound at every price point. BUT it's important to counterbalance the trend’s tough-chic vibe with a bit of sexiness and femininity, so you don’t look like you’re actually going into combat. We’ll show you how to do it and where to get quality options for the best prices.

Color: Army green is the new neutral. Pick up one of the many army green/olive green/khaki dresses that are on the racks right now. Look for girly cuts (wrap dresses, ruffles) and silky fabrics.

Military jacket: These solve one of the biggest fall fashion dilemmas: what do you wear with denim when leather is too much and a blazer is too formal? A military jacket with hardware and deep pockets is a perfect solution. Add a leather belt to cinch in the waist for a more feminine feel.

Skinny cargos: Cargos were big a few years back, but the difference this time around is the tight fit and the stretchy fabric. Pair them with a simple top and some stilettos. The higher, the better.

Combat boots: We can probably thank Rihanna for making these one of the most popular fashion statements of the season—that, and the fact that they are incredibly comfortable. Match black or brown combats with a floral dress then lace them up half way and let the tongue hang out.
