I Think I have a Problemo...

SO........ instead of shopping.... I've been spending my hard earned Do-Re-Mi on this-
Chocolate Coconut Truffle + Toasted Coconut + Coffee + Peanut Butter + Rabbit Turds?! That's what they look like right? Ha, I'm taking the "going green" initiative to the next level and recycling nature's feces... They're chocolate chips silly! Prob organic or something.

And Yes! My new obsession is Yogurtland!!! It's not as close to the house at Yogurtville, but definitely worth the drive. And I've been 3 times since Saturday! OMGosh! I need to ask for some serious forgiveness. But I'm pretty sure that I paid for it with my 10hrs of workouts last week. Hey, at least it's fat free and packed with millions of probiotics!

8 Things You Need To Know About Jillian Michaels

I LOVE Jillian Michaels! If you're not completely in love with her, check out her story, I think it will change your perspective.

Here's the Link to the article: http://www.parade.com/health/2010/08/04-jillian-michaels.html

For eight seasons, Jillian Michaels, all 5 feet 2, 120 pounds of her—including chiseled arms, ripped abs, and raspy voice—has been instigating her unique brand of harassment as trainer extraordinaire on NBC’s The Biggest Loser .

This summer, the 36-year-old crisscrossed the country on
Losing It With Jillian, a reality show in which she brought frayed families emotional peace, wellness, and weight loss—8 95 pounds all told in six weeks. Here, Michaels, who has struggled with her own family issues—she’s still estranged from her father—explains why the person she’s trying hardest to fix is herself.

1. I was a fat kid with a unibrow

In eighth grade, I weighed 175 pounds and my nose was the size of a softball. Once, I was sitting at lunch and got surrounded by a bunch of kids who let me have it about how ugly I was-—my unibrow, the size of my nose, the fat rolling over my jeans. It was pure hell. My mom had to pull me out and put me in another school.

2. Martial arts saved me

My mom signed me up for a martial-arts class in ninth grade. That’s when I started to believe in myself. It taught me that if I didn’t respect myself, no one else would respect me. It helped me to redefine myself. I still identify with people who are struggling to an extreme degree. I want to fix the situation. Helping others brings peace to the helpless feeling inside of me.

3. I’ve been in therapy since I was 5 years old
I was a very anxious kid. I had night terrors. I couldn’t breathe. My mom is a therapist, and she wanted to make sure that I had someone to talk to. I had a very strained relationship with my father, especially when my parents got divorced. I still try to go to therapy at least twice a week. It has given me the confidence to pursue the things I love, and it’s important that I don’t end up playing out my own pain and insecurities with the people I’m trying to help.

4. My mother taught me a great life lesson

I don’t know where I would be without my mother’s patience and constant love. She taught me that I have value beyond measure. At every point in my life, no matter what the circumstance, that lesson has helped me to help other people reach their dreams. For many of the people I work with, no one ever taught them that. That gift of self-esteem, that nugget, was the seed that she planted.

5. I still don’t talk to my dad

I have no communication with my father. The relationship is hurtful to me in its current incarnation. But I have to take a step back and create space.

6. I wish I was calmer

I’m a constant whirling dervish; everything around me is intense and chaotic. I have these conversations with myself where I say, “Everything’s going to be fine.” And then I tell myself, “ No, it’s not. It’s a disaster.” I’m brutal with myself. I’m obsessive. When I describe myself, it’s tragic.

7. I want at least two children

I’m hoping I’ll have the motherhood thing figured out within five years. I was an only child for a long time, and it was lonely, so I would like to have at least two kids. As long as children have love, that’s all that matters, but in an ideal scenario I’d want them to have a father.

8. I have a tattoo of my grandmother

I have a huge tattoo on my ankle. It’s a guardian angel with a picture of my grandmother, Renee. My grandmother passed away when I was 10. I was very, very close to her. She was always there for me. She would have loved to have seen what my life is like now. My mom is like, “Honey, you’re going to get run-down. You’re going to burn out.” She’s proud, but she worries. My grandmother would have said, “This is part of the ride, enjoy it!”

ALMOND BUTTER!!!!!!

Just had the BEST breakfast EVER thanks for Heathereatsalmondbutter.com. She has one of the most creative ways to eat and I LOVE it! First I tried her prized breakfast with what I had in my pantry- which was Nature's Path Organic Flax seed Oatmeal, Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips and Justin's single serving packet of Honey Almond Butter-
This was AMAZING!!! Especially with the Honey Almond Butter by Justin's.
But then I tried Heather's Chia Protein Oat Bran. WOW! I got all the ingredients at Sprouts, followed her instructions (check out the link above), and Voila! An amazing, protein and fiber-filled breakfast that doesn't taste like cardboard. This was awesome!!! Plus I learned something new, I had never heard of Chia seeds before, and they are Awesome! (I found them in the bulk section at Sprouts).

Summer LOViN'

First of all, I would like to congratulate Becky on her awesome shoe find! This Fashionista, is turning into a deal-finder! So watch out world, she'll be getting the same stuff as you at better prices!

I cannot believe that she found the same Italian brand that I previously purchased the other day! It's all about being at the right place at the right time people. Here are her GORGEOUS, and Comfy Italian sandals that she purchased at Marshall's for... get ready.... $16?! I'm SO Proud!!!

I mentioned in a previous post that I was looking for white shorts to wear in Miami. Well, even though it's 106 degrees here and the summer is far from over, all the retail venues are getting in their "Back to School" inventory which now means, Winter clothes. Since when does back to school in August mean you're looking for a wool sweater? Come on people! Maybe in Alaska, but certainly not in Texas.

Well, I've been on a Nordstrom Rack kick lately, because they're the only ones that still have summer clothes. Here are the shorts that I got for $15 (not the most amazing price, but after you wear them, they are the most amazing shorts, so totally worth it!)
I'm pretty sure that everything looks better with a Starbucks coffee in hand and the beach in the background. But here are the shorts up close-
Yes, I know what you're gonna say- these look like a cross between Yoga Shorts and Pregnant Shorts. I thought the same thing and was like "What the heck? I can't try those on!" But for one, they're junior shorts, you can see I got a size 5 for room in case they shrink in the wash. For two, they cover my butt, unlike most Hoochy Mama shorts they make for young women (don't get me started, it grosses me out). For three, these are the most comfortable shorts that I've ever owned in my ENTIRE life! I went back and got the dark denim ones too (I'm wearing those with my Guayabera). As you can see, they just look like regular cute shorts on.

Me and the MR.
Paired with my $10 Hot PiNK wedges.

I'm OFFICIAL!!!!

So, now I'm an official Latina! I have my own GUAYABERA!!!! Thanks to the Gnazzo Familia! If you'd like to find out the details of the importance of a Guayabera in the Latin culture check it out here. If you'd rather not read about history and culture, I'll tell ya that rumor has it that the 4 pockets faciliated the gathering of guavas.
Don't we look like the best-dressed couple?

This is what we had for dinner last night, it was healthy and delish! On gluten-free bread of course! (Udi's GF bread).

California Grilled Veggie Sandwich. Here's the link for the recipe: Allrecipes.com

We loved it! We even had leftovers for lunch. I served the 'wich with Alexia Sweet Potato Fries from Costco. BFlo was in heaven!

Just ASK!

After 3 long, grueling months, I got my ITALIAN BABIES!!!!!!!!!!!

I have waited 3 months for these puppies to go on sale. They first laid eyes on me at the Nordstrom Rack in Scottsdale, AZ. I had to tell them to quit looking at me because I'm too cheap to spend nearly $50 on a pair of gorgeous, comfortable Italian shoes. So, for the next 3 months, I scouted them out, until they disappeared at my Rack.

Sebastian loves them too, I raise my children to have great taste!

B.Flo was looking for a specific pair of MEK jeans that they didn't have in his size at our Rack, so we stopped at another Rack on our way home from church. I had to do what I always have done... Look for my Italian babies. Bc at this point I said to myself, "Ok self, if they're here, it's fate, and you have to buy them no matter what!" And there they were!!!!!!!

Being the awesome sales girl that I am, I took these up to the register, explained my sob story of moping around every Rack store on the planet for the last 3 months, and still no sale price. See my Hot PiNK circle? This confirms that they have been out since May (a crucial part to my story). She called up the shoe manager and said, "It doesn't hurt to ask him." To make a long story short, he pitied me- (actually he was about to file a harassment suit against me), and said "Just give her 35% OFF." WHAT?!?!?!?! It was actually very smart on his part, because, let's be honest, they've made $0 off this shoe for over 3 months, they really need to clear for more shelf space. It was also very smart on his part because BFlo was really laying it down =) I can see it in the newspaper now: "Nordstrom Rack shoe dept Mgr has a Nervous Breakdown after Being Harassed by 2 Professional Shoppers" (sounds scary).

This was THE BEST day of my weekend! So, I got my Italianos for $30.48 instead of $46.90.

Moral of the story is... It doesn't hurt to ask (the worst they can tell you is no).

On a completely different note... Should I be concerned that the Costco Samplers asked my husband where he's been and that they miss him? (WOW! haha!)

I wish that Blogspot had an iPhone App!

If I could access my blog on my iPhone, I would have a lot more posts... Just sayin.

SO... we went to SoBe for BFlo's Bday, and have been super busy upon returning. With our house for sale and both working from home, accommodating workouts, making dinner... I'm beat by the end of the day. That's why I need Blogspot to make an app so that I can make a quick post at the stop light or something.

God blessed us with some serious favor this past weekend. We ended up getting to stay in the hotel's penthouse suite for 1/4 of the price of any of the other hotels on the beach. Here was our AMAZING view:

And here is one of my *FAVORiTE* Finds:

I got this dress in New Orleans at Lakeside Mall from The Limited. I never shop at Limited, however, I always go to this store when at Lakeside (I have no idea why I don't frequent more often, or maybe it's that New Orleans has a better selection?) Anyways, I got this dress for $14.99!!! Unbelievable! Original price was $89.50 and I LOVE it!

Macy's Big Sale= We're stealing your $$$

So, my mom mentioned Macy's big sale that's going on right now online: "Online Fashion Clearance Save 50-75% off" with 99 cent shipping. For one, it's not 50-75% off. I went to 'Juniors' then 'dresses' and found a dress that's marked off from $29.99 to $24.99 is obviously not 50-75% off, geez math whiz! Don't waste your time. PLUS, this $5 off dress that I'm referring to:
Sorry, the pic is kinda small. This was the $29.99 dress on sale for $5 off. Yes it's cute, but I saw it at Ross for $12.99, like 3 months ago (which would be 56.5% off). It's really short and would look best either over black leggings or a swimsuit.

Shop around before you buy, or just ask me if it's a good deal and I'll give you my straight forward advice. Why not save an extra $15-20 if you can?

BeLTS!

Not sure why I'm so obsessed with belts lately.... Maybe because they're small? Inexpensive? A great accessory to any outfit? I honestly think they just call my name from the shelves or stands.

So, I got this Super-Cute belt at Ross for $2.99 (it's much cuter in person, trust me).

And this is what I paired it with: Yellow tube top that I got at Marshall's for $5.99. This shirt has no shape and could make a skinny person appear larger, however, a true Visionary sees it with a belt and voila!

I like to wear this with cropped skinny jeans and flat goldish gladiator sandals.

What's your favorite accessory?!
