My Favorite Wedges

Every year Charlotte Russe has a slightly different take on their Twisted Satin Rafia Wedges. I'm infatuated with them as they are so Adorable!

PiNK, Brown, Black, Red

I have an awesome story. Two and a half years ago I was checking out some wedges at Charlotte Russe. It was right at the end of summer and saw that everything was marked down. I found an older version of these wedges that are actually an orange-ish color. Guess how much they rang up for??? $4! I've never gotten more compliments than on those wedges. You can see them in the sneak peak picture of my closet from the other day (all the way to the left):

I also learned about another Gluten-Free human that you all might remember from the Bachelor and Bachelor Pad, Miss Tenley! (Thanks to SkinnyRunner.com posting an interview about Tenley) You can read her story here: http://www.tenleymolzahn.com/gluten-free-me/, and check out how it changed her life as well.

What's your favorite Super-Cute footwear?

Disappointing News.

I just learned last week that Enrique Iglesias' song, "Tonight I'm Loving You" has an unedited version. Using the F-word many times. I'm not sure where I've been since November, clearly I live a very sheltered life. But seriously? Enrique? Who made you do this? Needless to say I was very disappointed. He better not turn gay or I'm calling it quits! This discovery was just too much! I thought he was a sweet, innocent, attractive Latino with a sexy voice ;( I don't care if it gave him any more clout with another Top 40 single on his double-platinum selling digital release of the song...

(Credit) He gets better looking with time.

I obviously have a thing for Latin men...
Ay Caray!

Mi Casa

We had our first celebration in the Casa with the neighbors, family and friends for Easter. And of course I have no pictures... What is wrong with me??? I guess I was too busy cooking chilaquiles, southwest crustless quiche, Amish breakfast casserole, wild rice and mushroom frittata, a huge salad and gluten-free strawberry muffins (I used Pamela's baking mix as the flour)!

I know that I've taken FOREVER to post pics of Mi Casa, but it's been pretty crazy around here. And I want everything to be like Perfection before I start showing you all. But here are a few for now-

The Master. If you live in the DFW Area and would like to have some wallpaper done, you have to use this guy, he's AWESOME! He had to float my wall and then come back to hang the paper. He was a perfectionist and didn't make one mess.

The Closet. Just a sneak peak. BTW- I have the most amazing friend in the world that is a magician at closet organization and master visual merchandiser that came to my rescue. I LOVE YOU STEPH PACHEC!

I mended one of the casualties from the move. The world can now rest in peace.

Kitchen Table. Here is our kitchen table (and our children's high maintenance water fountain). I need at least a 7' round rug to put under it. Suggestions???

Kitchen. One side of our Fabulous kitchen. I'm in LOVE with my kitchen. Seriously.

The Princess. Sofia once again displaying her authority over the house and proving that she can do whatever she wants.

The Powder Bath. I had to showcase my favorite $39 mirror :)

BFlo's Playground. The speaker covers aren't on yet, and I think we need a bigger TV... (right...)

The Green Room. One of the guest rooms that's in the making. My mom got all the bedding. It's DKNY and we love it!

Mi Oficina. It's in the early phase of decoration. Baby steps. But isn't she pretty? Please divert your eyes away from my ghetto fabulous mouse pad that is actually the Ikea instruction booklet for the desk. Haha!

The Runaway.
Our girl who is a member of the Bad Girl's Club attempted to make a permanent escape. We were out front looking at the crazy storm with 70mph winds coming our way and she was screaming her lungs out inside. I allowed her the opportunity to come out with supervision. Well, Daddy needs some serious disciplinarian lessons. He allowed her too much freedom and she ended up running into our neighbor's house that's close to being done.

The Storm.

The Rescue.

Sofia is cussing him out, she has an attitude problem.

A "Blustery Day" taken to a Whole Notha Level!

Apparently the same wind that blew our gate off the track and into the alley while be perfectly aligned with our neighbor's fence, is the same wind that jacked up our internet. Or maybe the internet jacked up itself. The shock and horror of seeing my gate in the middle of the alley turned to laughter. I mean, what else was I going to do? It's not like I could move it myself. I called the emergency back-ups. They put it back on track, but we have to wait for the experts to fix it. So yes, last Friday I believe we had like 60mph wind in Texas. Lovely.

But what I really wanted to talk about was the Maxi Dress. It's all the craze right now. They are super cute, and very comfy. A good question that was brought to my attention was- Can short people still wear Maxi Dresses? But of course they can! I'm a full grown Gidget myself at the height of 5'2" (for the record, I'm actually 5'2.5" and people are always joking with me saying "oh yeah, you gotta add the extra half inch." But in all fairness, I'm being serious. That's what the measuring stick says). Tips for being short and wearing a maxi dress: Make sure it fits and doesn't look like you're a 7yr old trying to look cute in Mommy's dress. If it has straps that are too long, take them in. Get it hemmed, it cannot be dragging on the floor, we have brooms for that kind of job. And don't forget to accessorize your look!

The dress is only $10 @Forever21. They are having some great deals in "Yellow Tag Deal" section

New Gluten-Free Eats

This weekend I tried out some new gluten-free foods that were on sale. The first, Rudi's bread. I have tried both the original and cinnamon raisin and they are fantastic! The loaves are large compared to other gluten-free breads. I love the cinnamon raisin for breakfast!

To get a $1 off coupon, click here.

We also tried out Simply Shari's gluten-free pizza which was Awesome!

Pepperoni was for BFlo and Pesto Margherita for me. They were on sale for $5.49 at Sprouts. Not the best deal in the world on pizza, but still worth it!

This is what I made for dinner last night, Mushroom & Wild Rice Frittata: http://www.eatingwell.com/recipes/mushroom_wild_rice_frittata.html. My father-in-law loved it, so it must've been good! This was my first time making it to!

Have you ever had a Frittata?
What's your favorite?

Adventures in the life of JFlo: Grocery Edition

Grocery shopping is always so glamorous for me. NOT! I pretty much don't love it. If I could get everything at just one place, life would be awesome grocery shopping. But no, it takes 3 stops to get everything. Costco, Sprouts and WalMart...

Adventures in WalMart

Walking into the Promised Land... The clouds before the storm.
Crazy Beautiful
Uggs when it's 90 degrees out? REALLY????

The Fashion Police nearly arrested her.

Last week when my mom came to help me unpack, we went to Super Target to pick up some things, and here's what I found:

I've decided that Target's little girl's clothes are way cuter than the grown-up girl's clothes there. It was cold last week and I was dressed like a homeless Rainbow Bright. So I thought I'd add some more color while trying little girl size 14 dresses and tops on over my clothes (the one benefit that makes up for being too short to get on a roller-coaster). And that my friends is how to act like a Redneck in Target :) I actually bought the tangerine dress. It's cute!

Question of the Day:
Would you vote for Donald Trump?

American Idol Shocks All!

J.Lo is crying, Randy can't speak, Steven Tyler is almost at a loss of words besides referring to Pia as a bird singing and American Idol's Hottest contestant has been dismissed!

Why?! My mom says it's because jealous women won't vote for her and the men are lazy. I think know it was because of her outfit, seriously.

Sorry Gwen, but it really was U-G-L-Y! And I guess Steven was wrong. I don't think any of the guys in the bar, drinking lots of drinks were impressed with her outfit either...

And her necklace-

Reminded me of what Princess Leia wore in Jabba the Hutt's house:

Will life on American Idol go on without Pia???

The Mess of Moving

I've been MIA because we moved last weekend. It's been so awesome and hectic at the same time! The technology portion of my life has been interesting. We have no internet, my iPhone decided to have a software glitch and holds power for like 3 seconds. I can't figure out how to use my work phone- Blackberry Torch, and have a 'hate-hate' relationship with it. I use my iMac to write my blogs and download pics, but because we have no internet, it's kind of impossible. Thank God that my work gave me an AT&T card just to keep connected to you, or work, I mean....

There's so much that I have to share with the new house, but I really want to share pictures to show how awesome the place is. Once I am able to download the pics, I will tell you all about it! But in the mean time, I'll let you in on the plans for my office.

My office is all white with a PiNK accent wall! WooHoo!!!! BFlo thinks it's all white (he's color deficient and apparently doesn't see light PiNK well- which is bueno for me!) Here's what I bought for my office today:

$79 @Ikea
Tomorrow I plan to sand down the drawers a bit and paint them the same PiNK as the accent wall in the office. This desk is big enough to hold my iMac, work laptop and me all in one place.

This is the chair I bought to go with the desk:

$22.99 @Ikea
Even though this chair is plastic, it's very comfy!

Do you have any office decorating advice?
